Brooks Applied Labs, an analytical laboratory in Seattle specializing in trace metals analysis and speciation, is looking for a bright, hard-working, and enthusiastic person to fill an open QA Associate position that will focus on cGMP Compliance.

Duties include: Detailed review of laboratory-generated data in hardcopy, instrument software, and in the LIMS before it is submitted to Project Managers and reported to clients. Auditing of laboratory and QA Group practices to assure compliance with cGMP requirements. Drafting and updating of SOPs related to cGMP requirements, and training lab staff and other QA Group members on compliance standards. Assist VP of Quality where needed to ensure company quality and compliance objectives are met for the laboratory.

Requirements: BS/BA degree in chemistry or other physical sciences field (BS degree in other field and significant laboratory experience may substitute); a minimum of 1-year of previous experience with quality assurance and/or data validation (preferably at a cGMP-compliant lab); very high level of organization and attention to detail; excellent verbal and written communication skills; positive, upbeat attitude and good fit with BAL culture; ability to remained focused while working long hours at a computer; and ability to multi-task and stay on top of many projects at the same time. Previous work within cGMP-compliance laboratory is required. Previous experience with NELAC or ISO 17025 accreditation, EPA Methods for metals analysis, and Promium Element LIMS is preferred, but not required.

Position Details: Schedule will be ~ 5 8-hour days/week (with flex-time) and may include one weekend day per week. Overtime may be required. Pay rate is dependent upon the level of experience with cGMP compliance and working with data in an analytical testing laboratory setting.
