Sample Control Specialist

As a Sample Control Specialist, you will be part of the Sample Control team, which is responsible for shepherding client samples from arrival to disposal.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring samples are received, prepared, preserved, and stored appropriately according to internal SOPs and approved EPA handling methods.
• Documenting and communicating receiving issues with Project Managers.
• Preparing and shipping bottle orders and sampling kits for clients.
• Cleaning sampling equipment.
• Calibration of equipment.
• Lab maintenance and cleaning.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree in science concentration required
• Very high level of organization and attention to detail
• Ability to read, understand, and follow SOPs
• Ability to lift 40 pounds and stand for periods of up to 8 hours
• Ability to work occasional overtime with little notice
• Must be legally able to work in the US, local candidates are preferred
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced environment
• Previous experience in a laboratory setting is preferred
